G - #1076bb - Once upon a time, pretty much everyone needed a place to hang their hat. This early hat stand, probably from the 1930s era, was designed to fit on to the edge of a shelf to allow you to prop your hat on top of the blue wood mushroom shaped knob and hang your coat on the hook that hung below. The knob for holding the hat is painted wood in a country blue color and the metal rod and hanger are a heavy gauge steel. This piece is designed to fit approximately a 1" thick board but it can be expanded a bit if shelf is a little thicker. The hang down hook hangs approx. 2.25" below. The height of the rod with the blue wood top knob will stand about 7.25" above the shelf. A very innovative piece designed for multi-task use as a hanger/stand. The sale is for the hat stand/hook ONLY & NOT the hat & hanger shown for demo purposes. See condition below>
SIZE: Overall length: 11"; fits over a 1" thick board; sits 4.75" max in depth over shelf; rod w/knob stands 7.25" above shelf; hook hangs 2.25" below shelf
CONDITION: Pre-owned - vintage; sturdy & solid; blue paint in very good condition; metal steel rod and hanger unit show minor characteristic age oxidation of the metal.
