T--#289kw - From the days when doing the laundry was a little less than an 'all day job', comes this old unopened Quick Elastic Starch advertising piece in a colorful paper wrapped box with nice graphic appeal. The front of the box says in large letters, "QUICK ELASTIC...Perfect Automatic -Washer Starching" and states this is a 12 ounce size. This piece is probably from the 1940s - 50s, judging from the graphics. It also shows an antique flat iron on the bottom right corner & on the iron it says, "Trade Mark". This early laundry aide was manufactured by the Hubinger Co, Keokuk, Iowa. This 12 oz size box, unopened and unused, still containing the product inside, has the directions for preparation on the back for Hot Starch or Cold Starch. On one side are the instructions for 'perfect starching in your automatic washer'. The price mark section on the box top is blank (does have a black mark) and was never stamped. This piece could very well be a new "old stock" item from its appearance. A terrific old laundry advertising collectible that will add charm to your collection. Sale is for the box of starch ONLY & NOT the flat iron in one photo - for sale on separate listing. See condition below>
