W - #474va - This is a very nice early pair of metal rim spectacles from the 1800s, that could be worn by either men, women or adolescent. (see size measurements below) These lightweight oval frames with curved temple arms come complete with single vision glass lenses. The arms are attached in a swing arm design - no posts. The nose bridge is designed in a wrapped wire design. The metal in these wire frames is very thin & appears to be similar to tin, but I'm not sure what it is for certain, however this metal gives the frames a color of very dark brown to black. The right lens has a small bruise on top edge (see close up photo). They are a wonderful early pair of eyeglasses from the 1800s that would add antique charm to your antique wardrobe accessories collection, use for drama or re-enactment, or display with antique books & other accessories. This sale is for spectacles ONLY & NOT the accessories used for display purposes. Please check size measurements & condition details below>
