I-19 #299po - A very nice cabinet card sepia tone photograph from the late 1800s to early 1900s of a Victorian Lady. This photo measures 4.25" x 6.5" (size introduced in 1866) and shows a close bust portrait woman's image in dress & hairstyle of the period adorned with a Victorian circle pin at the throat and high lace collar with button front dress. She also has a simple straight pulled back hairstyle probably tucked in the back in a bun. The bottom of the photo has the name of the photographer, "J. Will Barbour" and the place, "Chambersburg, Pa." The back of the photo is adorned in true Victorian style, showing the photographer's name, city & state along with some advertising: "Instantaneous process used exclusively; Duplicates can be had at any time." This is a very nice early photograph that would add historical charm to your collection or compliment other pieces from this time period. A nice piece of history from the Chambersburg, Pa area.
